Please tell us about your musical background and any training or experience. Feel free to include any other details or information that you think it would be important to know.

The minimum standard is Grade 8 or equivalent and ideally it would help if you have some experience playing in orchestras. Normally, an audition is required.

Players of any instrument are always welcome to get in touch but we have particular vacancies for oboe and bassoon players at the moment.

We normally perform three large scale concerts a year raising money for local Hong Kong Charities and our repertoire can be challenging. Our annual Children’s Concerts every Christmas are always brilliant fun and very popular!

Rehearsals are on Monday evenings, with additional sessions in the weeks before concerts. As an amateur orchestra, we appreciate that travel plans and work and family commitments can get in the way but we would ask that members can commit to at least 80% of rehearsals, especially those in the run up to concerts.

Rehearsals are conducted in English.
